Teulada is the Spanish town on the Costa Blanca that has an active tourist and residential network all year round. Thanks to its location on the Coast and the proximity to Mountains, this quiet town enjoys an excellent climate.
Moraira itself is an old fishing enclave and shipping port of the production of raisins in the town. Thanks to the increase in tourists, the area has developed significantly, which has led to the increase of commerce and infrastructure for everyone to enjoy. Despite this increase in tourism, moraira has maintained its traditional charm and flavour of a fishing village.
The 8km of coastline offers a diversity in landscape. In a trip along the coastline, you come across the rocky beach with crystal-clear water. Another lovely beach area, Ampolla at the foot of the Castle is the most popular and largest sandy beach. The rest of the coastline is known for its splendid cliff top views of the colourful sea.
There is a wide range of leisure activities on offer in the area. You can try out one of the excellent scuba diving excursions, windsurfing, and underwater fishing as well as other sports, horseriding, squash, football, tennis, basketball etc.
The local food is delightful and you must try the wide range of traditional dishes, especially the seafood, and wash it down with the excellent local wine for example, the Marina Alta white wine and the sweet Mistela.
You must also try to catch one of the wonderful festivals in the region throughout the whole year, the San Vincente Ferrer festival and the Moors and Christians festival are amongst the most spectacular.
